Lancaster claimed their first NEUAL Championships easing to victory at the Outdoors held on York on 10th May. Lancaster's senior team was John Lane, Matt Wilkinson, Matt McCormack and Amy Hall, whilst their novice team of Michael Bass, Chris Jamieson, Michael Lindsay made it a red rose double. Hosts York were second whilst defending champions Keele were third. Rory Campbell (Sheffield) narrowly beat John Lane to gents recurve, whilst Amy Hall was top lady. Top novices were Michael Bass and Lucy Bonner (York).
Edinburgh also completed the formality of a SUS Outdoors win, senior team of Erik Rowbotham, Ani Zhang, Will Lamb and Graeme Anderson. Aberdeen were second, ahead of Napier, whose novice side were second, unable to take advantage of the fact that YD Zheng (Edinburgh) had missed the first few dozen because of an exam. Edinburgh's winning novice team was Ani Zhang, Naomi Jones and YD Zheng, with Napier their only serious opposition. Alex Lamb and Kyshiea Steele (Edinburgh) were top recurves, Dan Wielding (Napier) and Ani Zhang were top novices.
Results in full are in the SUS and NEUAL sections of this site. Sadly problems with the venue have meant that SEAL Outdoor Champs have been cancelled.
