Entries all over the place [03/Feb/15]

No less than five new(-ish) clubs have been entered in to the Club Directory. De Montfort got in touch with UKSAA directly, whilst Central Lancashire, East London, Northampton and Salford were all added as a result of their significant presence on the BUCS entry list.

All have been formed in the last couple of years. Archery GB is committed to starting 10 new clubs as part of the Development Plan 2013-17, see their University Clubs page.

The list of entries for BUCS came in at a whopping 742 entries with institutions limited to 19 entries - the target list is on the BUCS site. One club who will not be taking part however are Napier, because of their Students Association who failed to submit the list of names via BUCScore correctly/on time. BUCS do not allow any substitutions and do not operate a waiting list. Despite an appeal to BUCS, Napier are locked out, with transport and accommodation having to be cancelled.

BUTC spaces are filling up fast, with the final deadline this week. The deadline is Thursday 5th, so if you are concerned about the postal service, email East Anglia and let them know! The structure BUTC currently accommodates 32 teams - with the number of B teams varying as required. Traditionally the host club are allocated the "first" B team slot as a thank you. The other B team applicants (15 this year) will then be drawn out of hat in order to determine who shoots and the order of teams on the waiting list.

BUTC does allow substitutions - you can name your team at registration if you like. As ever, if your club (A and/or B team) can no longer shoot at BUTC, contact the organisers immediately so that someone else can use your space.
