The BUTC entry form has now been published on the BUTC Tournament Info page of this site.
Demand for spaces means clubs are strongly urged to get their entries in ASAP. To be eligible for the B team draw, entries must be in by Friday 4th February. The final deadline for A teams is two weeks later, on Friday 18th February. Entry fee is £30 per team and the competition itself will take place in Lancaster on 5th March which is a Sunday.
This season, BUTC will take place after the BUCS qualifying rounds (to be held on Portsmouths) but before the BUCS finals (to be held on FITA 18's then H2Hs). Lancaster host for the second time Warwick are the defending BUTC champions having won the title in 2015 and 2016.
E-League Round 3 encompasses both December and January combined, so don't forget to submit those pre-Christmas scores as well by the 5th February deadline. If you haven't entered scores so far, then don't despair, as you can start mid-season. Teams who enter no score at all are relegated by default, so if you need it, there is time to save your club.
In E-League Division 1, after two rounds, Birmingham and Warwick are locked together on 19 points, although Birmingham have the superior average. Birmingham's win in Round 2 is their first ever monthly maximum (in Division 1) whilst their best finish in the E-League to date is 6th in 2012/13. Warwick have won 3 of the last 4 E-League titles. As in the BUTTS table, Loughborough are third and lead the chasing pack. They are just ahead of SEAL duo London and Southampton. The scrap to avoid the Division 1 trapdoor is still far to close to call.
Elsewhere, in Division 2, Nottingham Trent appear to be sailing clear to promotion, with maximum points so far. Fifth placed Swansea are the next best placed A team so far, although SWWU league rivals Exeter are behind them. The A teams of Reading, Teessude and Bristol lead Divisions 3, 4 and Conference. Cambridge have a good lead in the Novice Division 1, with Southampton in second.
Individually things are still very close at the top of the recurve standings. Robert Gray (Nottingham Trent) leads gents recurve from Tom Hall (Warwick) and Francis Berti (Birmingham). Rebekah Tipping (Birmingham) is level on points with Becky Martin (Bristol) in the ladies. Tipping leads on average score and is in pursuit of what would be a record equalling fourth individual E-League title.
Archery GB's January challenge is running - during January - with full details on the Archery GB site.
