Announcements regarding BUCS Indoors, BUTC, the E-League and the remaining SSS indoor fixtures are all expected before long. The other 4 regions have already confirmed they won't be hosting indoor events, whilst BUTC organisers are looking at moving to a date after the Easter holidays, in order to maximise the chances of the event taking place. In the meantime, the Editor draws your attention to a couple of projects that you can get involved with, even during lockdown.
The UKSAA Facebook page is running a photo competition, full details on the Facebook post itself.
After BUCS regional qualifying events, BUCS EMG chair Bethany Dexter would usually update the UKSAA Facebook cover page with some appropriate artwork. In the absence of such imagery, you can instead submit (by posting in the comments) your favourite/best photo from an indoor student archery event. The photo(s) with the most reactions will win and be used as the new cover photo.
Perhaps sensibly, Bethany has invoked "Boaty McBoatface protocol", noting that "Page owner discretion will be used".
Moving from pictures to words, archery.wiki is a new open-source resource for archery. They are looking for contributors, particularly from in and around the student archery community. It is community driven and independent but it is being supported by World Archery. One of the administrators is Declan Ashworth (ex Southampton).
The wiki is currently sitting on just under 100 articles - 92 - at the moment on a variety of archery related topics. It would be great to see that number explode and the UKSAA readership are exactly the right people to do just that.
