SSS, TOUCAN and SWWU all had fixtures on the weekend of the 25th/26th January. SWWU match 4 was a Frostbite held in Exeter - the newly unveiled hosts of BUTC 2025.
Results for SSS match 4 haven't been published yet. TOUCAN match 2, which drew to a conclusion after three consecutive January weekends of action, will be reviewed alongside match 2 of TOUCAN div 2, which follows this weekend, on Sat 1st Feb. Today (31st January) is also the last day you can shoot scores for E-League Round 3. This round covers scores shot in December and January.
SWWU match 4 itself saw Bristol and Exeter pull well clear of the field. Bristol took their third win of the SWWU season with 1221. Hosts Exeter were second on 1152, more than 250 points clear of the rest of the field. Plymouth took third spot, ahead of Cardiff and Bath, with all three teams in the 800s. Top score in the match was decided by a single point with Alex Williams (Bristol) on 327 vs 326 for Luke Burch (Exeter).
Bath had been leading the senior SWWU table, but 5th place in this match saw them drop back. Exeter and Bristol now move on to 34 points with Bath on 33. Exeter's superior match aggregate means they are top - at least for now - despite not having won an individual fixture. See SWWU 2024/25 page.
Exeter won the novice match comfortably, with Vivian Gregory (Exeter) the top individua. They now lead the SWWU novice table by 2 points from Bristol, who were also second in this match. Swansea won their fourth consecutive compound match and lead that table.
SWWU's next fixture will be extracted from the upcoming BUCS Indoor Regional Qualifying rounds. NEUAL and SEAL will be doing the same.
The results for NEUAL Novice Championships (15th Dec) have been amended to make it a 4 dozen event. The venue forced the event to be shortened and the set of results on UKSAA inadvertently had some archers with 5 and some with 4 dozen totals! Manchester (1st) and Liverpool (2nd) top the novice scores, whilst MMU (1st) and Huddersfield (2nd) top the unsighted match results. Manchester now have a 4 point lead in the NEUAL novice table, whilst 4 teams are within a point of the top of the unsighted table, see the NEUAL 2024/25 page.
