Doing the fixture shuffle [19/Jan/10]
News of some alterations to a variety of regional league match dates below. All changes haev been made in the season calendar. If you see something which is not correct, please send an email.
The first re-arrangement is the BUTTS league fixture, Loughborough at home to Birmingham, Oxford and Warwick. This fixture will now take place on Sun 24th Jan, whilst Warwick at home to Derby, Oxford and Nottingham will now take place on Sat 21st Feb. BUTTS Indoor Championships will be in Nottingham on Sat 27th Feb - if both Loughborough and Nottingham win thier league matches, then this will be a straight winner takes all shootout for the BUTTS title. Derby's home BUTTS league match has been postponed as it was scheduled to be on Sat 13th Feb, the same date as BUTC.
The SUS League Match between Napier, Heriot-Watt and Dundee was also scheduled for Sat 13th Feb - no new date has yet been announced and although Napier are the home side their practice venue is too small to host a league match. The SUS Novice Championships, originally scheduled at Heriot-Watt in December will now be at St Andrews on Sat 6th Feb.
There has been no confirmation but the third batch of NEUAL fixtures at Keele, Leeds and Bradford should all have moved to/stayed in the weekend of Sat 20th Feb. In SEAL, Southampton at home to Kent and Brunel, scheuled for Sat 9th Jan, had to be postponed due to bad weather, but Surrey will host Imperial and Reading on Sat 6th Feb. Bath have moved their home SWWU fixture to Sat 20th Feb to avoid a clash with BUTC.
Reminder that BUTC entry forms are due in by Fri 29th Jan - now only 10 days away - with the competition filling up fast. Closing date for entries to BUCS Indoor Champs is Thu 4th Feb [Correction - should be Thu 11th Feb, see here.] and closing date to submit scores for Round 3 of the E-League, December/January, is Fri 5th Feb.
