Updating all Clubs [07/Oct/22]

As the wave of freshers crashes over the student archery clubs of the UK, the second post-Covid season is already taking some shape, with E-League sign ups open and the postponed BUTC 2022 on 20th Nov in Loughborough, entry form expected very soon. As ever, if you see anything in the Club Directory that is not right, contact UKSAA about it.

As previously announced, the regional league organsing teams are Gleb Evteev and Erin Ann Dobbin (SSS), Juliet Spedding, Philip Taylor and Jake Livingstone (NEUAL), Callum Henfrey (BUTTS), Paula Ionita, Johanna Meyer and Rob Hargreaves (SWWU) and Stephen Fawcett and Katya Sephton (SEAL).

On the BUCS EMG, Jordanna Marsh has taken on the job of Virtual Competitions, i.e. running the Summer Rankings and the E-League, both of which now have a new contact email address, studentvirtualcompetitions@gmail.com.

In terms of clubs themselves, Manchester were the only club to fully join a regional league last season, although West of England did attend a couple of SWWU fixures. This season, UWE and Worcester will join SWWU and BUTTS respectively. It's also possible that Stirling will take some part in SSS, just in time for BUCS Northern Qualifying to take place there in February.

There have also been a few other clubs coming back to life. It looks as though London will exist in some form, despite the dissolution of the central students union there. Abertay, who often co-exist with Dundee, have relaunched in their own right. Clubs at Manchester Met, Northumbria and Salford are all definitely active and will hopefully all participate [corr.] in NEUAL.

The status of Anglia Ruskin, Bedfordshire, Hull, Kings and Sunderland is less clear and they are currently listed as Status TBC.

There have been a lot of updates to the Club Directory itself since the start of September, 28 clubs have had their contacts updated. If you see any details in this section of the website that might be wrong, please do let UKSAA know.
