The BUTC entry deadline is fast approaching. Clubs must send in the entry form and pay by Sun 26th Feb 23:59. BUTC 2023 takes place on Saturday 11th March in Leeds.
We are in BUCS Regional Qualifying season. The Northern (Stirling) and Southern (Bristol) qualifiers will take place on Sat 25th Feb. The Central Qualifier was last weekend. Links to the ianseo pages for the three events are in the BUCS Indoors section. BUCS will determine who qualifies for the National Finals in Warwick on Sat 18th Mar. Additionally NEUAL, SEAL and SWWU will all extract a match from these scores.
BUCS ventures to Stirling for the first time, although there will be no home archers at the event. This will be the furthest north a BUCS event has been since the Outdoor Champs of 1999, that were held in Aberdeen.
Results from E-League Round 3 Dec/Jan are expected imminently but have not been published.
SWWU match 4 has now reported its results. The round used was a WA18 with scores from a few sources including a match at Plymouth. Bristol won the match with a team WA18 total of 1941. Bath were second on 1890 and whilst Exeter were third, they were well adrift in the match. Alex Williams (Bristol) was top experienced archer in the match on 538, with Merlin Dillingham (Bath) the top novice on 448.
Those results mean Bristol now have 37 league points and have leapfrogged Exeter to the top thanks to the two point swing. Exeter have 36 points and Bath 35. Like NEUAL and SEAL, SWWU will extract a set of results from the BUCS qualifiers, with SEAL and SWWU teams predominantly heading to Bristol.
