Results from BUTTS match 1 and SEAL match 2 have been published. BUTTS match 1 was split across the weekends of 27th November and 3rd December, with SEAL match 2 solely on the December weekend.
Nottingham and Surrey were the match winners, with East Anglia taking over at the top of the overall SEAL table.
23 points covered the top 3 at BUTTS, but it was Nottingham who came out on top with 2274, taking top spot with a cushion of 18. Perhaps surprisingly, this is Nottingham's first outright senior BUTTS match win since way back in February 2013. Oxford just nicked second place with 2256, only 5 ahead of Warwick's 2251. A little way behind the leading trio were Birmingham in fourth, a point over 2200. Behind Birmingham however, there was a near 140 drop to Loughborough in fifth.
A trio of scores in the mid to low 570s from Hannah Evans, Max Harding and Dominic Kelsey helped Nottingham to their win. Yang Pei (Oxford) scored 578 but it was James Woodgate (Warwick) who top scored in the match with a massive 594. Oddly there were more 570's (4) than 560's (2) in the match - Samuel Walby (Oxford) and Wills Chiu (Warwick) on 567 and 565.
Birmingham won the novice match by virtually 200 points, their (team of 4) total being 1913. Guy O'Keefe (Birmingham) top scored with 509 and there were low 490s for Emily Nichols (Birmingham) and Matthew Keeble (Cambridge).
Further to the South and East, SEAL match 2 produced a nailbiting finish between Surrey and East Anglia. Surrey took top spot with 2139, whilst UEA were an agonising 2 points behind on 2137. This is the second match in a row UEA have missed out on top spot by a single digit margin. Imogen Newby (Surrey) powered her side top with 572 - Thomas Rands (East Anglia) hit 562 in response. Third place in the match were Imperial, back on 2086. Charlotte Hempsell (Anglia Ruskin) was the top scorer in the match again on 582. She propelled ARU to fourth spot, although they were more than 100 behind Imperial.
With different teams winning matches 1 and 2 (Southampton 1st & 8th, Surrey 5th & 1st), this means that East Anglia's double second place and 28 points is enough to go top. In fact they actually lead by 2 points from Imperial (3rd & 3rd) and Surrey. Anglia Ruskin backed up their record equalling 4th place in the previous fixture match with another one.
In the SEAL novice match, UEA won their second match in a row on 1350, although Imperial ran them close on 1327. Chi Him Chun (Imperial) scored 500, with Sophie Davies (Southampton) two behind. In a parallel to the senior table, there was a considerable churn at the top in terms of team rankings, apart from UEA who have 30 out of 30 and lead by 5 points.

The only scheduled fixture this weekend is SWWU match 3 in Bristol and Bath.
