Get into BUCS and BUTC [19/Jan/09]
As promised, the BUTC entry form is now available in the BUTC section of this site, and also from your friendly regional league organiser. The cost of entry is unchanged - £7.50pp or £22.50 per team. The deadline for BUTC entries is Fri 13th Feb but you are recommended to get your entry in early, particularly if you want your B team to get a space. Assuming that fewer than 32 A teams enter, the remaining slots are allocated to the B teams on a first come first served basis. In that vein, if you are entering two teams, send two cheques so one can be returned or destroyed as necessary. A list of the teams competing will appear on this site after closing date.
We enter something of a new era as BUSA Champs become BUCS Champs. BUCS Indoors Entry Information document was released in last week's BUCS Essentials, the rather confusing name for the old BUSA Weekly Mailouts. These are published on a Tuesday in the About Us section of the BUCS website. The cost of entry is £11.50pp with the deadline for entries Thu 5th Feb. However there will not be a conventional entry form - BUCS are using an online entry system via Fixtures Live which will require Clubs to enter through their Athletic/Sports Union. Full details are in the document itself, but it's worth noting that late entries will not be possible and should entries exceed capacity, then as in previous years, a waiting list will be in operation.
