Lilleshall Qualifying Info [16/Apr/19]

Event and entry information for BUCS Outdoors and H2H Event 2019 has been released by BUCS. Entries are open now and will close at 23:59 on Monday 20th May. This allows qualifying scores to be shot as late as the weekend of the 18th/19th May. Entry fee is £19.25 per event. The annual student pilgrimage to this Shropshire field will take place on the weekend of the 8th/9th June.

The full list of minimum required qualifying scores, broken down by category, is available on the Entry Information PDF, see Outdoor Champs page on the BUCS website. It is also reproduced in the BUCS Outdoors section of UKSAA. The numbers are unchanged from last year, with automatic qualification having been set at 1st class score for seniors and 3rd class for novices. For recurves shooting a 1440 round, that works out to 885 for senior gents and 817 for senior ladies. Regarding the WA70m/50m scores, if you are entering both days in the same bowstyle, the same qualifying score may be used.

Scores can have been shot at any time back as far as (and including) BUCS Outdoors last season. However, qualifying scores must be shot under competition conditions, with a minimum of 5 archers from a minimum of 2 clubs and with no more than 67% archers from a single club.

SSS Outdoors is the first regional fixture this Outdoor season, taking place on the weekend of 20th/21st April. League organiser Emma Poulton specifically mentioned in the publicity "Please note both events are open to guest archers too, not just Scottish students".

If your club is running a shoot and you would like the results to be available online for verification purposes, UKSAA is happy to publish scores in the Other Fixtures section. As long as they meet the other criteria, they should be accepted, but check with Alice Robinson at BUCS if you are in any doubt.

One new development for 2019 is that you can book a camping slot online, on the Lilleshall website. Cost is £9.30 per tent per night.

Elsewhere, results from the last two rounds of the E-League have still not been published.
