Corrected results from SSS match 1, held at Heriot-Watt on Sat 26th Oct, have now been issued, as have results from the Student National Rankings competition, held over the summer.
In the Scottish league season opener, Napier and St Andrews served up a close contest, with Napier's 2191 taking top spot by a mere 6 from the 2185 of defending champions St Andrews. The opposite result played out with the top individuals in the match, with Paul Ross (St Andrews) on 577, 4 ahead of Andrew Smith (Napier). Both sides were over 50 clear of third placed Edinburgh (2133), who were themselves over 150 clear of the rest of the field. Strathclyde were next, back on 1980. Elsewhere in the match Guillaume Andrieux (Glasgow) shot 568, with Yohann Renault (St Andrews) on 562.
There were 10 complete senior recurve teams of 4 in the match, a new high for SSS. Glasgow fielded a full strength team for the first time, placing 8th, whilst Abertay re-emerged after a year's absence. For the first time there was a representative from the University of the Highlands and Islands too, although they were a compound.

Strathclyde were third novice team and topped the compound match, although only they and Edinburgh had full teams here. Top compound was Josephine Stewart (St Andrews) on 570.
