Neath the cover of October skies [29/Oct/07]
This is always a quiet time of year for the UKSAA website, just before the results start flying in. Of course, this is far from a quiet time for individual clubs as all those beginners take their first steps in a new sport and seniors dust off the cobwebs that shouldn't have been allowed to develop in the first place.
A reminder that any scores for the first ELeague month (of Sept/Oct) must be submitted by Mon 5th Nov. The date for BUSA Indoors is (in pencil only) Sat 1st Mar. As soon as this date is in ink, then BUTC can be confirmed as Sat 15th Mar. Clubs interested in hosting BUTC should get in touch with UKSAA as a date for bid submissions will be confirmed before too long.
The first interview of the new season with Lizzie Richley (Southampton) the SEAL Organiser, has been published. In other SEAL news, Surrey v Southampton v London has been moved from the 3rd to the 17th of November. Southampton and Surrey were second and third in SEAL last year and both clubs will want a winning start to the season.
The first match of the 07/08 season will now be the BUTTS match at Nottingham against Birmingham, Oxford and defending champions Cambridge, on Sunday 4th November.
