With the second set of ELeague results in Div 1 is as you were with Edinburgh, Warwick and Cambridge finishing 1-2-3 for the second month in a row to top the standings. All three teams were up slightly on last month, again all about 50 points apart. Behind the leading trio Imperial drew level on points with Nottingham. In Div 2, Edinburgh B lead the way again, Surrey A were second in the month collecting 9 points. Loughborough A were third this month and are the top A side in the division in second. Liverpool A and Swansea A continue to dominate Divs 3 and 4. Once again Edinburgh held off Loughborough by a tiny margin to win Compound Div 1. Cambridge scored maximum points in the Novice Div 1, but Edinburgh stay top on 19, Nottingham (third in the month) second on 17. Leeds A top scored in Novice Div 2, but Edinburgh B and Napier A sit top with 17 points.
Individually, there's no stopping Rhodri Curnow (Swansea) who just held on against David Lange (Edinburgh) to collect the maximum 20 points. Colin Geenes (Coventry) is second overall, Alex Lamb (Edinburgh) fourth, completes the leading group. In the ladies Jenny Jeppsson (Edinburgh), Julie Chenery (Warwick) and Kyshiea George-Steele (Edinburgh) were by far the leading trio again. Loughborough duo Jonathan Goodman then Phil Glover were the top two gents compound again, Ali Sewell (Edinburgh) top ladies compound. Austyn Barker (Liverpool) stayed top of the gents novice standings ahead of YD Zheng (Edinburgh) 39 points to 34, Alex Peters (Cambridge) top scoring individually. Edinburgh dominate ladies novice with Maggie Ziriax top scoring again, followed by team-mates, Angela Zah and Ani Zhang second and third overall.
A reminder that December and January are considered as a combined month for the ELeague and scores for that must be submitted by 5th Feb.
The second SUS League Match saw Strathclyde beat hosts St Andrews, with Heriot-Watt third. The novice teams finished in the same order. [Updated 18/Dec/07] Across the water the second IIVL leg at NUI Maynooth produced a second consecutive win for UC Dublin. NUI Galway were second for the second time, but could not prevent UCD stretching their aggregate lead to exactly 100 points. Defending champions Dublin IT were third again but now have a deficit of 360 to overturn.
