Thirteen Hosts – Part 2 [16/Oct/12]
Following on from Thirteen Hosts, the first editorial of the season, BUCS Indoors (and Outdoors) and BUTC are looking for host clubs. Bid deadlines for both are coming up in the next few weeks.
If you are wondering if your club could run the beast that is BUCS
Indoors, the tournament already has a date and a venue (Saturday 2nd
March at Telford) and the AFS crew to run things. The deadline for bids
to host the Indoor or Outdoor Championships is Thursday 1st November.
Bids can come from a single club or a collection of clubs, or even an
entire regional league, so ask around.

BUTC's preferred dates are Saturday 16th February or Saturday 16th March, with the location of the loudest event of the year still to be determined. Bids will normally come from the club that would physically host the event - neighbouring clubs can be a major source of manpower. If you’re not sure about approaching your regional league buddies to help, then remember that a local BUTC is in their interests as well. BUTC hosting deadline is yet to be fixed, but is likely to be in mid November. Remember to read the BUTC Hosting Info page.

Looking further ahead, there is the possibility of a H2H event taking place on the Sunday following BUCS Outdoors, so if you have not done so already, please take a few minutes and fill in the online survey.
